A boutique hotel designed with a touch of Amsterdam charm
Architecture
The well-known architect Robert Meijer of MVSA Architecten designed our building, consisting of six floors and a basement with a glass diamond-shaped exterior facade. He opted for a design that forms an integral part of the urban renewal of Leidseplein and the surrounding area. Our exterior facade refers to the famous diamond Koh-I-Noor, a large diamond that was cut in Amsterdam in 1852, making the design striking in the street scene.
The hotel
While decorating our hotel, we focussed mainly on trendy and timeless, old and new, and Amsterdam’s cultural scene and rich heritage. You will recognize the history of the unique location in the rooms. The interior of the renovated Diamond was provided by Woodfever Hospitality Interior. They combined the iconic feeling of the Diamond with a modern twist.
